Lap Seats in Demand for Dragtime Story Hour during Charlotte Pride Festival

The Queen City always was a little queer when it comes to Pride, eschewing national pride month to hold their festivities in August. So too with one of the most popular activities during the month, ‘Dragtime Story Hour’. The popular event attracts children of ages to see male identifying persons dressed in female gender assigned clothes reading children’s stories. This year organizers have added lap seat tickets for attendees under age 10.

“We wanted to let everyone have the option of a lap seat,” said event organizer Kalen Bulger, “but for the safety of the readers we had to set an age limit.”
